In the Footsteps of Martin Luther

Martin Führung In this tour, you will see all the historical places and exhibits that are connected to Martin Luther and the events of his stay in Coburg. From April to October 1530, during the Augsburg Parliament, Luther, who was banned by the Pope and persecuted, stayed in the protection of the fortress and that way unintentionally pushed Coburg into the centre of the protestant reformation. The historical sites, his works as well as valuable paintings, documents, prints, and portraits are shown as well as tapestries, graphics, glasses and the Luther room.
