Reformation Day at Coburg Fortress on October 31

Martin LutherIn the year 1530, Martin Luther stayed for half a year at the Coburg Fortress under the protection of elector Johann the Steadfast. Since then, it has been considered an important memorial of the great reformer along with Wartburg and the Luther cities of Eisleben and Wittenberg. On Reformation Day, you can get to know two famous personalities of contemporary history at Coburg Fortress.
His wife Katharina von Bora and Argula von Grumbach will lead visitors through the Veste in historical costumes.

The following tours will take place on Reformation Day:
  • Tours by Argula von Grumbach at 11am and 12pm
  • Tours by Katharina von Bora at 2am and 3pm
Max. number of participants is 30, takes about 60 minutes.
