PRIVACY POLICY

We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. All personal data collected is treated confidentially and in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) of 25 May 2018.

Normally, you can use these web pages without providing personal data such as name, address or e-mail address. If such data is collected, e.g. when communicating by e-mail, this is done voluntarily; your data will never be passed on to third parties without your explicit consent.

A general note on data transmission on the internet: Despite care, communication can have security gaps on the various transmission paths, e.g. by e-mail, so that complete protection of your data against access by third parties is not always possible.

The transmission of the collected personal data takes place via a secure connection (HTTPS, TLS/SSL) as standard.

Logging:
When you access this or other web pages, you transmit data to our web server via your internet browser. The following data is recorded during an ongoing connection for communication between your internet browser and our web server: Date and time of the request, name of the requested web page from which the file was requested, access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.), used web browser, used operating system, complete IP address of the requesting computer and the amount of data transferred. After the end of the connection, the data is anonymised by shortening the IP address at domain level, so that it is no longer possible to establish a reference to individual users.

Cookies:
When you access this web page, we store cookies on your hard drive with a short validity period. We use these exclusively to identify you during this and further visits to our web page. We also use cookies for statistical analysis of our web page (tracking tool Matomo). These are automatically deleted after a defined period of time. Most browsers are set to accept the use of cookies. However, this function can be switched off by you for the current session or permanently by setting the internet browser.

Active components:
Active components such as JavaScript are used in the information offered by the publishing authority. You can switch off this function by setting your internet browser.

Collection of further data, newsletter, book city tours:
In our offer there is the possibility to enter personal or business data. The e-mail addresses for the newsletter mailing are stored and only used for sending the newsletter. Entering names is voluntary. You can stop receiving the newsletter yourself at any time as follows: Click on the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the newsletter. Your e-mail address will then be deleted. If you order publications, your address will only be used for this purpose. Your address and your order will be forwarded to Mailingwork GmbH, Birkenweg 7, 09569 Oederan, Germany, for processing.

The details of your e-mail address and your voluntarily provided contact data entered in the form "Book a guided tour" will be stored for the purpose of contacting you. If the contact results in an order for a city tour, the message with the data will be stored in accordance with the archiving regulations, otherwise the message with the data will be deleted.

Electronic mail (e-mail):
Information that you send to us unencrypted by electronic mail (e-mail) can possibly be read by third parties on the transmission path. As a rule, we are also unable to verify your identity and do not know who is hiding behind an e-mail address. Legally secure communication through a simple e-mail is therefore not guaranteed. Like many e-mail providers, we use filters against unsolicited advertising ("SPAM filters"), which in rare cases automatically classify even normal e-mails erroneously as unsolicited advertising and delete them. E-mails containing harmful programs ("viruses") are automatically deleted by us in any case.

If you want to send us messages worth protecting, we recommend that you encrypt and sign them to prevent unauthorized knowledge and falsification during transmission or send the message to us by mail.

Encrypted e-mails can be sent to us as follows:

  • Acceptance of signed and encrypted electronic mail or qualified signed documents: The receipt of signed and encrypted electronic mail as well as qualified signed documents by the city of Coburg is possible according to Art. 3 a Bavarian Administrative Procedures Act (BayVwVfg). Documents that are subject to the written form requirement can in principle also be transmitted electronically. However, according to Art. 3 a BayVwVfG, this can only be done effectively if the document is provided with a qualified electronic signature.
  • The qualified signature of documents (files) is only accepted in the formats PDF inline or PKCS 7.
  • Signed and encrypted e-mails are only accepted in S/MIME format. No PGP encryption/signature will be accepted.
  • For encrypted e-mail communication with the city of Coburg, please use the gateway certificate of the city of Coburg.

Tracking tool Matomo:
This web page uses the open source software Matomo for statistical analysis of web page usage. This is done on the legal basis of Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR). The legitimate interest according to the regulation is to improve the web offer and adapt it to the needs of the users.

The use of Matomo is accompanied by the use of cookies. The information generated by the cookie about web page usage is transmitted to our servers and summarized in pseudonymous usage profiles. The IP addresses are anonymized so that an allocation is not possible. The information is not passed on to third parties.

Third party services and content:
We use services and content provided by third parties on our web page. The data processing takes place with your consent and is based on Art. 6 (1) a DSGVO.

The following services are used:

  • TOMAS (tomas-travel.online, my.IRS GmbH, Germany) as booking platform for accommodations
  • ECMaps (ecmaps.de, Huber Media GmbH, Germany) for the integration of maps
  • Deskline (deskline.net, feratel media technologies AG, Austria) to provide a tool for ordering brochures

Data processing on social media pages:
We are represented on several social media platforms with a company page. Herewith, we would like to offer further opportunities for information about our company and for exchange. Coburg Marketing has company pages on the following social media platforms:

  • Facebook
  • Instagram
  • YouTube

When you visit or interact with a profile on a social media platform, personal data about you may be processed. The information associated with a social media profile used also regularly constitutes personal data. This also covers messages and statements made while using the profile. In addition, during your visit to a social media profile, certain information is often collected automatically, which may also constitute personal data.

Use of script libraries and Google fonts:
To ensure that the latest and error-free versions of script libraries (e.g. JavaScript libraries) are always used for correct functioning and for your security, these are partly hosted on external servers, so-called CDNs. When the web page is recalled, a connection is established to the server of the operator of these libraries. The script library is then cached in the browser's cache to avoid further loading cycles. Theoretically, it is possible that the operators collect data about these accesses.

For cross-browser correct display of fonts, the external font library Google Fonts is accessed. The fonts are then cached in the browser's cache to avoid new loading cycles. The operator of Google Fonts is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. In the process, the operator Google collects, processes and uses data about the access to the Google Fonts servers. Detailed information on the handling of the collected user data can be found in Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en-GB.

Information and contact:
You can request information from us at any time and free of charge about the data stored about you, its origin and the purpose of storage. You can also request the correction, blocking or deletion of this data.

If you still have questions about data protection in connection with this web page, you can contact us at any time:
