Regarding transmission via Internet, please note: Despite proper diligence and care, communication may be vulnerable to security gaps across different transmission paths, e.g. via email, which makes it impossible to always guarantee seamless protection of your data against access by third parties.

Logging

When you access this or any other webpages, you transmit data to our web server via your web browser. The following data is recorded during a live connection to facilitate communication between your web browser and our web server: The date and time of the request, name of the requested file, page from which the file was requested, access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.), web browser and operating system used, full IP address of the computer requesting access, volume of data transferred . When the connection is terminated, the data is anonymised by truncating the IP address at the domain level, making it impossible to associate it with any particular user.

Cookies

When you access this web presence, we save cookies (small files that are only valid for a short period) on your computer. We only use these to identify you during this visit and future visits to our website. Most browsers are set up to accept cookies. However, you can disable this feature for the duration of this session or permanently by changing the settings in your web browser.

Our web presence offers you the option of entering personal or business information. Your data is not encrypted during transmission and it is thus not protected against access by third parties. We save email addresses for our newsletter mailing list. These addresses are only used to send the newsletter. Entering your name is voluntary. You can cancel your subscription to the newsletter at any time: Simply click the “Cancel” link at the bottom of the newsletter. Your email address will be deleted. If you order publications your address will only be used for this purpose. Your email address and contact information you voluntarily enter in the “Book tours” form is saved so that we may contact you. If a guest tour is booked as a result of the contact, then the message and the data are saved in accordance with regulations governing the duty to archive information; otherwise, the message and the data will be deleted.

Electronic mail (email)

It is possible for third parties to intercept information that you send to us in unencrypted form via electronic mail (email) on the transmission path. In general, we are also unable to verify your identity and do not know the identity of the individual sending the email. Therefore, simple communication via email cannot be guaranteed to be legally secure. Like many email providers, we use filters to protect against unsolicited advertisements (SPAM filters). In rare cases, they may also automatically incorrectly identify regular email messages as unsolicited advertising and delete them. We always automatically delete any emails that contain damaging programs (viruses).

If you wish to send a message to us that you feel requires additional security protections, we recommend that you encrypt this message and sign it in order to prevent unauthorised access and falsification on the transmission path or send your message to us via the conventional postal service.

You may send the following types of encrypted emails to us:

Acceptance of signed and encrypted electronic mail or qualified signed documents

In general, documents subject to the written form requirement may also be sent electronically. However, in accordance with Art. 3a BayVwVfG, such transmission is only valid if the document features a qualified electronic signature.
  • We only accept qualified document signatures (files) in the following formats: PDF-inline or PKCS7.
  • Signed and encrypted emails are only accepted if they are in the SMIME format. PGP encryption/signatures are not accepted.

Use of script libraries and Google Fonts

To ensure that only the most current, bug-free versions of script libraries (e.g. JavaScript libraries) are used for proper functioning and for your security, some of these libraries are hosted on external servers, also known as CDNs. When a page is accessed, a connection is established to the server of the operator of these libraries. The script library is then buffered in your browser’s cache to avoid additional loading cycles. It is theoretically possible for these operators to collect data via these forms of access.

We use the external font library Google Fonts to ensure correct presentation of fonts across different browsers. The fonts are then buffered in your browser’s cache to avoid additional loading cycles.

The operator of Google Fonts is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

As the operator, Google collects, processes and further uses data related to access to the Google Fonts servers.

For more detailed information on how the user data that is collected is handled, please view Google’s data privacy policy. https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en

The Google Maps service is used to provide attractive, interactive presentation of geographical information and to help find the locations entered.
The operator of Google Maps is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. As the operator, Google collects, processes and further uses data related to the use of the Google Maps functions.
